What our the five biggest mistake you can make while dieting? After talking to many personal trainers, I have compiled a list. Follow their advice and improve the results of any weight loss program. Even if you only have 10 pounds left to lose.

1. Not drinking enough water is a often the first mistake many people make. Water fills you up and lets the body know that it doesn't have to conserve water. You body will start to eliminate the extra pounds of water it stores for the hard times. Drink 5 to 8 glasses of water a day.

2. Not eating 5 to 6 smaller meals a day. Doing this will maintain your energy level, build steady metabolism, and provide your body with a steady stream of nutrients.

3. Eating less as the day goes on. You should consume more carbs earlier in the day when your body needs them the most. The carbs are needed in the morning to jump start your metabolism and get you reved up. Carbs consumed in the evening are often stored as body fat.

4. Not eating enough. Not eating enough can be as bad as eatting to much. If you eat too little, your body starts to store food so it won't starve. This slows down our metabolism.

5. Not getting enough of the good fats. Fats are an essential part of the human diet. They are needed for the production of hormones. They are also important to many of the metabolic processes going on in our body. They also are important for healthy skin, a healthy immune system and many bodily functions. Essential fatty acids, notably omega-3 fatty acids, will aid in these processes.. Fish oil, which contains omega-3 acids, DHA and EPA, are a good source of these much needed fats.

Nutrition is the key feeling and looking good. Keeping these tips in mind and incorporating them with exercise and a healthy lifestyle will help you reach your weight loss and fitness goals and serve you well for years to come.
